Discover the history of the place in complete tranquility, leaving the driving and the itinerary to your driver-guide. 1/2 Day of commented discovery (2 p.m.-6 p.m., English/French) of this territory, from prehistoric times to the Second World War. Will we find fossils? Were there Romans in Lozère? What legends have shaped the country? We will visit the site of the blue marls at Cénaret, the Roman Mausoleum at Lanuéjols, the Hermitage at Mont Mimat and the Rieucros prison camp.

2pm - depart from Place du Foirail, Mende
2:20pm - visit of the Cénaret, a site with a lot of fossils
3:20pm - visit of the Roman Mausolée in the little village of Lanuéjols
4:30pm - visit of the Ermitage above Mende, with a great view point (during renovation works, this visit will be replaced by the Mont Mimat cross)
5:15pm - visit of the prisoners' camp at Rieucros, just on the outskirt of Mende
6pm - back at Place du Foiral, in Mende in just about 10min.
