Day 1 / always a Monday: Meeting at Paris CDG Airport at 11am, departure by coach with your English-speaking tour leader (who will be with you for the duration of the tour) from the airport at 11:30am towards Normandy. First stop at the village of Giverny to visit Monet's Gardens.  Next, free time to discover the historical old town of Rouen where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. Overnight in Rouen.


Day 2 / Tuesday: Visit of Etretat Cliffs, as shown on Netflix Lupin's show, a geological wonder. After we cross the Normandy bridge over the Seine river, we stop in Honfleur, formely a fishing village, now a preferred destination for Parisians. Overnight near Caen.


Day 3 / Wednesday: Normandy beaches is where d-day all happened. Hommage to the fallen soldiers at the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach before reaching the Pointe du Hoc. Continue near Bayeux.


Day 4 / Thursday: Morning is dedicated to the visit of the Mont Saint Michel and its abbey.  In the afternoon (130 miles), drive to Angers located between the Loire and the Maine River. Overnight near Angers.


Day 5 / Friday: Discover the fabrication of the famous drink Cointreau, before reaching the Villandry Castle and its great garden. Overnight near Tours.


Day 6 / Saturday: Visit of the world-reknown Chenonceau Castle, then stop in Amboise for free time. Overnight near Blois.


Day 7 / Sunday: The magnificent Chambord Castle awaits your visit, before we reach Chartres (80 miles). Visit of the Chartres Cathedral, and see the illuminated monuments of Chartres once it's dark out (in season - varies). Overnight near Chartres.


Day 8 / Monday: Choice of morning visit today - see below. Overnight near CDG airport.

  • Visit 1: Morning 3-hour guided tour of the city, by coach

  • Visit 2: Afternoon 2-hour walking guided tour of the Louvre Museum

 

Please choose between visit 1 and visit 2, or combine them. At 6pm, the coach will depart towards your hotel near CDG airport, you'll be informed of the pick-up location well in advance. You may also decide to reach your hotel on your own after an evening in Paris. Should you need assistance to book a Moulin Rouge show or a Dinner on Seine River Cruise, please let us know. Day 9 / Tuesday: Departure day. Use the hotel shuttle to transfer to Paris CDG Airport on time for your flight departure.
