The best excursion to discover the Gorges du Tarn in complete tranquility, leaving the driving and logistics to your driver-guide. Commented discovery day (8 a.m.-6:30 p.m., English/French) of this territory listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. This day includes 5 essential visits. Take advantage of a guided tour of Aven Armand to see this geological treasure. Go back in time at the Ferme Caussenarde d'Autreviens, and free time in the village of Hyelzas (local products for purchase: cheese, cold meats, artisanal ice cream) for lunch (not included). From La Malène, go down the river in a boat helmed by a skipper with the Bateliers des Gorges. Your driver-guide will be waiting for you at the arrival of the descent to head directly towards the Point Sublime from where the view of the Cirque des Baumes is absolutely beautiful. Finally, discovery of Sainte-Enimie, classified among the most beautiful villages in France, before returning to Mende around 6:30 p.m.
8 a.m. - Departure from Mende towards the Gorges du Tarn in a mini-van with your driver-guide. After crossing the Causse de Sauveterre to reach the Gorges du Tarn, we will cut through the Causse Méjean to reach the Aven Armand to the south
10 a.m. - 1-hour visit of the Aven Armand, a geological wander, with a dedicated tour guide
11:45 a.m. - Free visit to the Ferme Caussenarde d'Autrefois and free time for lunch in the same village (lunch is not included)
1:30 p.m. - We leave Hyelzas to descend towards La Malène via a sensational hairpin road
2:30 p.m. - One-hour descent of the Tarn River with the Bateliers de la Malène, in a flat boat with skipper
3:30 p.m. - Your driver-guide will be waiting for you at the arrival of your boat trip to leave directly towards Les Vignes and the Point Sublime, a view point over the Gorges.
4 p.m. - Free time at Point Sublime to admire the view from the Cirque des Baumes
4:20 p.m. - After the descent towards the Tarn, we will take the road at the bottom of the Tarn gorges to reach the Medieval City of Sainte-Enimie
5 p.m. - Introduction to Sainte Enimie and the Source of the Burle, then free time to explore the narrow streets
6 p.m. - The Causse du Sauveterre will surprise you again before diving back towards Mende
6:30 p.m. - Arrival in Mende, on the Place du Forail
